We think it‘s cool to care who makes your garments. So, every piece of lingerie and swimwear is ethically hand-made under fair working conditions in a small manufactory in Portugal that is specialized solely in the making of lingerie and swimwear.

Our Choice of Models: Championing Diversity

We know that women’s bodies come in all shapes, sizes, and skin tones – and we think they’re all crazy beautiful! At Lioa, we aim not only to normalize real bodies but to put them center stage. We work with models of different sizes, body types, and ethnicities so you can visualize how you would look in our lingerie (hint: gorgeous!). PS: We also keep it real by refraining from retouching our models.

Our products are tested by real women

Picture this: a group of fabulous women of all shapes and sizes gathering together to help us create the perfect lingerie collection. Yep, that's right, at Lioa we're all about collaboration and community. We believe that every body is unique and deserves to be celebrated, so we need YOUR help to make sure our designs fit and flatter all of those lovely curves.

That's why we host sample fittings with real women for every new collection. We want to hear your honest opinions about the look and feel of each piece, so we can make sure that our lingerie is not only drop-dead gorgeous, but also super comfortable. And hey, if a certain style isn't working for you, it's not going to make it to production. Simple as that.
